1st Choice Income Tax Service is owned & operated by Kim Appleton, providing tax preparation & bookkeeping services to Prince George and surrounding areas. Kim was born and raised in Prince George, building a wide network of family, friends and clients for whom she has prepared personal and small business income tax returns over the last 25 years. For ten of those years she was employed by the both the large tax preparation firms managing local offices. In 2007, Kim decided to open her own business and join the ranks of the self-employed. With the help of M.Turner & Associates, Community Futures Fraser Fort George and Service Canada the dream became a reality.
As the business is growing, 1st Choice at times receives assistance from former office managers, tax preparers and bookkeepers whom she has worked with in the past. All tax and bookkeeping clients can be assured that Kim Appleton will oversee each and every tax return before it is filed with C.R.A., as well as all bookkeeping documents before forwarding them to the client or their accountant. The Appleton family is also active in the home-based business with Kim's husband and youngest son assisting with such duties as data entry, filing, courier and office maintenance.
